What is the Wheel of Emotions worksheet?
The Wheel of Emotions (Children) Worksheet is a single circular chart. Six core feelings divide the wheel: Happy, Sad, Angry, Scared, Surprised and Calm. Each one opens into three more specific words, so Scared branches into Anxious, Nervous and Worried, and Angry branches into Frustrated, Annoyed and Jealous.
How to use the Wheel of Emotions worksheet
Use this sheet both in session and as homework. Start at the outer ring rather than the center: a child who can only say Sad often recognizes Lonely or Disappointed when the word is printed. Point to the segment, then ask for the moment that goes with it. Your clients can carry the wheel home and circle one word each evening, which gives you a week of vocabulary to work from.
Wheel of Emotions Worksheet Download – What’s Included
The download is one printable page, not fillable. The wheel holds six segments, each opening into three narrower words, eighteen in all. Happy holds Glad, Pleased and Joy; Calm holds Relaxed, Peaceful and Satisfied; Surprised holds Shocked, Amazed and Confused. There are no blank slots or writing lines, so it works as a reference the child points at.
