Grief worksheets give clients a structured way to name what they have lost and to track how that grief changes over time. Every sheet below is free and printable.
What these grief worksheets cover
This collection moves from psychoeducation through to reflection. Some sheets explain what a grief reaction looks like, some map the stages a client recognizes in themselves, and others structure the practical tasks of mourning.
Childhood Grief WorksheetA two-page caregiver handout on emotional, physical and behavioral signs of grief, with tips and four activities.
My Stages of Grief WorksheetTwo pages for marking which of the five stages a client experienced and ordering them from 1 to 5.
The Grieving Process WorksheetA two-page handout mapping acute, complicated and integrated grief, with a reflection question for each phase.
The Tasks of Mourning WorksheetThree pages on Worden’s four tasks, each with a goal, two tips and questions to answer in writing.Using these worksheets with a grieving client
Grief follows no fixed sequence, so choose the sheet that matches where the client already is. A client who fears their reaction is abnormal usually needs psychoeducation first. Your clients can then use a reflection sheet between sessions to record what shifts.
Every worksheet on this page downloads as a free PDF and needs no email address.
