What is The Grieving Process worksheet?
The Grieving Process worksheet is a two-page handout that describes grief in three phases rather than a fixed sequence. Each phase, Acute Grief, Complicated Grief and Integrated Grief, gets a short description, its common signs, and one reflective question for the client to answer.
How to use The Grieving Process worksheet
Use this sheet both in session and as homework. Read Understanding Grief together first, since the line that grief is not linear is the part clients most need to hear early. Then work through the first two phases and ask the sheet’s own question: which feelings are strongest right now. Your clients can read Phase 3: Integrated Grief at home once acceptance has begun, rather than treating it as a target.
