Building Your Custom EMDR, PLAY, or PSYCHIATRY Note Template in Mentalyc

Mentalyc empowers you to create custom templates tailored to your specific needs in EMDR, Play Therapy, and Psychiatry. This guide will walk you through the steps to build your ideal note template, streamlining your workflow and boosting your efficiency.

Step 1 - Access the Template Builder: Head to the "Templates" section and click "Create New Template."

Step 2 - Choose Your Foundation: Select your preferred note structure in the “Template format” drop-down (SOAP, DAP, BIRP, etc.) and choose relevant client type.

Step 3 - Name It Clearly: Give your template a descriptive name for easy identification.

Step 4 - Build Your Sections: Scroll down and select relevant sections to include in your template.

Step 5 - Find Your Focus: Within each section, search for and select items with specific labels:

• “EMDR" for EMDR notes
  
• "PLAY" for Play Therapy notes
  
• "PSYCHIATRY" for Psychiatry notes
  

Note: to select “PLAY” labels, the client type must be “Child”

Step 6 - Include any other relevant items for your specialty

Step 7 - Save: Once you've added everything you need, click "Save" to create your custom note template!

Step 8 - Use the template while creating a note: Your newly created template will be available in the drop down with all note types while configuring your new notes!
