Why the search never ends

“Anxiety worksheet” gets you 10,000 results. You need the one that fits.

A worksheet can match the topic and still be wrong for the person in front of you. Most of what turns up in a search falls short in one of these ways.

✕

Doesn't fit the client

Too basic, too advanced, or a skill they've already mastered.

“You know how many times I've filled this out?”A client, quoted by their therapist
✕

Too much to ask

Pages of lines and long instructions end up in a bag, not back in session.

“A client looks at a worksheet for maybe 60 seconds, if I'm lucky.”Licensed clinician, college-age clients
✕

Looks like schoolwork

Dense, dated or childish pages cost you credibility before the client reads a word.

“I have to compete with TikTok and all the homework that they have.”Licensed clinician, college-age clients
✕

No clear source

You can't tell who made it, and you're the one putting your name behind it.

“I don't use anything that looks like it was made by some person in college.”Licensed clinician, private practice
15–20 minper search

That's the unpaid time it takes to find one worksheet that avoids all four. Sometimes you still come up empty.

Worksheet Matcher FAQs for therapists

Is my client's information safe when I share a worksheet?

Yes. Mentalyc is HIPAA, PHIPA and SOC 2 Type II compliant. Worksheets you share never contain anything from the client's notes.

Who reviews the worksheets?

A licensed psychologist reviews every worksheet in the Worksheets Hub before it's published. Each one cites its sources.

Can I edit a worksheet before I share it?

Not in Mentalyc. Worksheets download as ready-to-use PDFs. If a match isn't quite right, skip it or browse the Worksheets Hub for another option.

Does it explain why each worksheet was matched?

Not directly. Each match shows what the worksheet is for and its tags, and you can open the full worksheet to judge the fit yourself.

How does Worksheet Matcher choose worksheets?

It looks at what came up in that session's note, plus the client's treatment plan if one exists in Mentalyc. It can't see what isn't written down, like skills the client has already mastered. That part is yours.

Does Mentalyc pick the worksheet for me?

No. After each note, Worksheet Matcher (in the app, under Recommendations) suggests 3–4 worksheets. You preview them and decide which one becomes your client's therapy homework, if any.

Can I use Mentalyc just for worksheets?

Worksheet Matcher works from your session notes, so you'll create notes in Mentalyc. A short typed summary is enough, no recording needed. If you only need a worksheet, browse the free Worksheets Hub. No account required.

What does Worksheet Matcher cost?

Nothing extra. Worksheet Matcher is free on every Mentalyc plan, including the 14-day free trial. The worksheets themselves are free for anyone to download from the Worksheets Hub.

Does Mentalyc need to record my sessions?

No. Worksheet Matcher works from your session note. You can record the session, dictate a summary, or type your note.
